It took almost eight years, the Democrats, the media, an unpopular war, and poor fiscal performance for Bush to become as vilified as he eventually was. Obama is pushing seven months in office, has the media enthusiastically cheering and covering for him, and solely on the basis of his own performance his popularity is tanking.
