It’s been a while since I updated, mainly because it’s been a crazy few weeks personally, and rather unexciting politically. This blog isn’t dead yet, though — maybe just in hibernation.
When I get a reliably-working computer put back together again, and get caught up on work, and get over my cold, and get past the holidays, etc., I’ll get back to writing.
Hillary-as-SoS is about all I’ve even thought about discussing lately, but there just wasn’t time (or enough interest to make time). On that note, though, I think (1) it’s obvious this was the deal in advance (i.e., she concedes in the primary, he names her SoS); (2) it’s probably a good move for her; (3) it’s probably a bad move for Obama; and (4), 3 and 4 are because for all practical purposes the position of Secretary of State is far more important than Vice President even if it is more subordinate to the President (at least in theory).
Anyway, if I’m not back before the end of the holidays, I will almost definitely be back around the New Year, and I wish all of you joyful holidays of whatever type you celebrate
